King of France ruled the country from 1643 to 1715 for an impressive 72 years and 110 days. In second position among the queens who have ruled the most in history is Elizabeth II. With her passing on September 8, 2022, Elizabeth II is the second longest-ruling queen ever. In total, Elizabeth was in office for an impressive 25,782 days, which is equivalent to 70 years and 214 days. Her reign began on February 6, 1952 and ended, in fact, on September 8, 2022. Queen Elizabeth thus also became the longest-serving queen in the entire United Kingdom. In third position among the longest-serving kings, however, is Rama IX, who was in office from June 9, 1946 to October 13, 2016. In total, Rama IX was in office for a total of 25.694 days equal to 70 years and 126 days.
